Tim Teter

Timothy S. Teter is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at NVIDIA Corporation. He joined NVIDIA in January 2017.
Before joining NVIDIA, Tim served as a Partner at the law firm Cooley LLP, where for more than two decades he litigated patent and technology-related matters throughout the United States.
Prior to Cooley, Tim worked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco and the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
Tim received a J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1993, where he was an Editor of the Stanford Law Review, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Davis in 1988.
Before law school, Tim worked as an Engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. in Sunnyvale, where he worked on the Hubble Space Telescope Program.
